About Our Club/Team/Organisation:

Formed in 2007, the organisation has developed and advanced very quickly; largely due to widespread support of the organisation's unique beliefs and objectives from key figures in today's boxing world. The organisation has been the dream of Micky Cantwell and Barry McGuigan for over a decade. Both ex-professional boxers have seen so many young men rely on boxing in the hope it's a means to making a living, and therefore never learning another skill. Yet in reality, it's only ever a tiny number who get that lucky break. The organisation is urging those who partake in the sport to strike a balance and to have a 'Plan B'. The organisation is not just put into place to advise, but also to actively help. With the organisation's link to the Educational Sports Forum, members can choose from a list of government funded courses to ensure that training and advancement is as mental as it is physical.
