About Me:	I work as a part time area supervoiser for a local newspaper distributor and in the evenings I run a part time martial arts club. I have been training in Chinese martial arts since 1985 including kung fu, tai chi and san shou (Chinese boxing) and a wide variety of Chinese weapons.

About Our Club/Team/Organisation:

Warley Martial Arts Centre was a full-time club dedicated to teaching and promoting both internal and external Chinese Martial Arts, unfortunately we had to close down when the building we rented was knocked down to make way for flats. Now we are a part time club running lessons two nights per week from a church hall. We teach two styles of Chinese martial arts, Kung Fu and San Shou (Chinese Kickboxing) with the emphasis on their effectiveness on the streets rather than as a sport. This doesn't mean that we discourage members from entering competitions, but 95% of our members train to improve their fitness, learn self-defence, but most importantly because they enjoy it. Both of our styles have very strong traditional links, but this doesn’t mean that we are slaves to tradition; both are taught with a modern outlook and application. Because we do not have our own premises we are only able to teach San Shou to the public, Kung Fu is only taught through private lessons.
