Apparently January began with a whimper on the surf front with all the boys bumming about the lack of usual post-Christmas surf. Mid january however brought a steady procession of north westerlies that lit up our wee corner for almost two weeks straight. The majority of sessions were to be had at La Punta which

no matter what direction the wind was seemed to shape up nicely into whackable walls. Even the crowds were pretty light which was kinda cool as crowded point can get pretty hassley at times. The dominant NW wind meant that the majority of the reefs were onshore but George

George and Bruce managed to score a few sick ones on one of the bigger days at a spot somewhere south. As we speak a few of the crew are jetting off to New Zealand for a few weeks in the sun and to catch up with Al. Congrats to James McKay who is due to become a dad for the second time. Maybe
