Club/Team/Organisation Address:	Our club is situated in Northiam with access to the site 7 days a week all year around. We are on the A268 to Rye. The site offers some wonderful views over the River Rother looking back over into Kent. Whilst puffs of white steam rise from behind the trees in the dip, signalling the arrival of the K&ES Railway Steam engines pull into station. A real pleasure of a ground to shoot at.

About Our Club/Team/Organisation:

The 1066 Archery Club was formerly known as The Hawkhurst Hundred Archery Club, which was formed in 1985 and since then the club progressed with a number of members gaining county records, some of which still stand. Craigan Hyde-Barnett took over the chair in 1993, 2 years after joining the club with his wife Ann. Both Craigan and Ann are qualified instructors. The club has gone through various traumas in recent years, the loss of some of our most experienced archers, the loss of our original grounds at Hall House. Since then we have had a number of grounds and are now settled in Northiam in East Sussex. Changing from Kent to Sussex has prompted the change of name to 1066 Archery Club. We are always seeking new members and there will be a warm welcome to both experienced and novice archers at our regular Saturday morning shoot.
